Last month UltraMAP had the pleasure of attending the Submarine Networks World 2016 Conference in Singapore.
This year UltraMAP were exhibitor sponsors at the Submarine Networks World Conference, which was held in Singapore on the 17th – 19th October 2016.
To us, Singapore is a thriving place. This was UltraMAP's third visit and each time we go, there’s something new to see. As we looked out from the Sky Park at Marina Bay Sands it was the Gardens by the Bay and Super Tree Grove with its elevated walkways that caught our eye. Of course we were really up there looking out to sea at all of the massive vessels anchored in one of the busiest shipping areas of the world.
UltraMAP has been monitoring vessel traffic in the Straits of Singapore since 2012, but you don’t really get a sense of how crowded the waters are until you see it for yourself.
The conference itself had increased in size since we last attended in 2014, with many new businesses attending. This just proves that the demand for increasing worldwide communication is showing no sign of slowing down. These subsea cables would benefit by being protected by AssetMonitor and our partners SeaGard, who we were supporting at the conference to promote their 24/7 monitoring services that makes use of AssetMonitor.
