Djibouti Telecom reduces the risk to cables landing in Djibouti.
Djibouti Telecom has chosen to use AssetMonitor to help protect the international fibre-optic cables that land in Djibouti.
Djibouti Telecom is a government-run telecommunications company based in Djibouti City, Djibouti. It provides landline, mobile and internet services to the general public. However, since 2005 it has made major strides to become a regional communications hub and manages the Djibouti landings of many of the international subsea cables that arrive there from the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean / Arabian Sea via the Gulf of Aden.
The protection for the cables from UltraMAP will involve the use of rules-based alarms from AssetMonitor and the introduction of a new AIS receiver.
