This short video by UltraMAPs Commercial Director Martin Connelly gives an insight into how UltraMAP manages environmental and manmade changes that affect subsea and surface assets.
To give potential customers an insight into UltraMAP and the people behind UltraMAP we have put together several short videos to help answer some of the most common questions we are asked.
The video in this blog article talks about how UltraMAP manages both manmade change and naturally occurring change such as earthquakes.

And here is a transcript of the video.
"The sea is a living area so there's an ever-changing environment there. I talked about planning earlier so although there's a lot of planning goes on to what was happening in those areas before the subsea asset was laid things change."
"Different sorts of vessels move into the area, different sorts of technologies employed where cables have existed before, wind turbines have been built so the whole working area changes and things occurs that haven't been planned for... so we help change our system to cope with those changes in environment and having said that there are always things occurs that we haven't known about."
"There are sometimes natural disasters for example AssetMonitor can't stop an earthquake happening, earthquakes break things so there are natural things that we can't prevent, we're all about stopping damage from things that we can prevent."
