Now that 2017 is here, we thought we'd do a 'round up' of everything UltraMAP did throughout 2016...
Meeting new people and visiting different countries all over the world, these are just some of the exciting things that UltraMAP did last year.
We started the year by inviting all of our clients together in one room for a bit of a catch-up in March. We talked about the past, how far we'd come over the last few years, and the future, welcoming new clients to UltraMAP.
April was a very busy month for UltraMAP as we visited the International Cable Protection Conference in Hamburg, Germany. Here UltraMAP exhibited in order to mix and build relationships with the biggest subsea cable companies and authorities in the world. It was then a quick turn around to make our way to the SubOptic 2016 Conference held in Dubai only a few days later.
UltraMAP's next visit was in mid June to the 5th Annual Advanced Submarine Power Cable and Interconnection Forum, in Berlin, Germany. We were lucky enough to be a sponsor of the event as well as presenting. The forum was a great success, providing solutions and strategies on how to best build alliances among cable professionals, interconnection players and key stakeholders.
Our next trip was a little closer to home in July when UltraMAP visited the very first UK Marine Energy Conference in Glasgow. We love events like this one, because of the opportunity to learn and teach in equal measures.
Later that month we also published the blog 'Letting our clients speak for us: Telstra. In this our friend Howard Hoo from Telstra very kindly wrote a little testimonial for us.
It wasn't long before we were back on the road again, this time to The European Subsea Cables Association Conference held in London in September. Over 60 delegates from the ESCA membership attended the event, meaning a lack of conversation certainly wasn't a problem.
Our final trip of the year was to the Submarine Networks World 2016 Conference in Singapore during October. To us, Singapore is a thriving place. This was UltraMAP's third visit and each time we go, there’s something new to see and learn. This was also the first event which our new partner SeaGuard attended with us.
We were certainly kept busy last year, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
UltraMAP would like to thank everyone who has been a part our our journey last year and wish you all the best for 2017.
